I am a mother of three. Two boys and one girl. They are my whole world. I am married to a sweet and spicy Cuban who I love with all my heart. To who’m I am immensely grateful to for all of his hard work through out our marriage. I respect and support my husband for making the ultimate sacrifice and joining the military.
As a child I grew up in a military community because my father was in the Air Force. I LOVED all the experience we had during our moves. It was challenging adjusting to different schools and growing up in a house where we were only aloud to speak Spanish because of my mother and grandmother.
Both my parents are born and raised from Guatemala. My grandmother taught my brother and I to read and write in Spanish. Now that I think of it, I remember going to school in Guatemala for a school year as well.
My father retired while we were in Louisiana. We moved to New Orleans. There, is where I met my husband.
Shortly after marring at age 18 my husband joined the army. I had a better idea than my husband did at the time of what was in store for us when the time came for us to move. But of course that did not mean I’d know what to expect as a military wife/mother of, now, three kids. But what’s life without any challenges?
Little feet, big step!!!
